Overview

The Account Settings page allows you to manage your personal profile information, update your password, and view account details. Keep your profile up-to-date to personalize your experience and ensure account security.

Accessing Account Settings

Log In - Ensure you're logged into your PromptAsCode account.

Open Sidebar - The sidebar appears on the left when you're logged in.

Find Account Section - Scroll to the bottom of the sidebar to find your account section.

Click 'Account' - Click the Account link to open your account settings.

You can also access account settings directly at: /settings/account

Profile Information

Your profile information helps personalize your experience:

First Name & Last Name

Your full name. Used for display purposes and communication.

Username

A unique identifier for your account. Can be changed at any time.

Company

Your organization or company name. Optional field for business users.

Email Address

Your registered email address. This cannot be changed and is used for authentication and important account notifications.

Saving Changes

After making changes to your profile, click the "Save Changes" button to apply them. You'll see a confirmation message when your profile is updated.

Changing Your Password

Scroll to Change Password - Find the 'Change Password' section on your account settings page.

Enter New Password - Type your new password. It must be at least 6 characters long.

Confirm Password - Re-enter your new password to confirm it matches.

Click Update Password - Submit the form to change your password.

Password Requirements

Minimum 6 characters
New password and confirmation must match
Recommended: Use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols

Security Best Practices

Never share your password with anyone
Use a unique password not used on other sites
Consider using a password manager
Change your password if you suspect unauthorized access

Account Information

View important information about your account:

Account ID

A unique identifier for your account (first 8 characters displayed). This ID is useful when contacting support or debugging issues.

Account Created

The date when your account was created. Shows how long you've been using PromptAsCode.

Keep your profile complete for a better personalized experience
Update your password regularly (every 3-6 months)
Save your Account ID somewhere safe for support inquiries
Use your real name if you're on a team plan for better collaboration
